Cheshire Cats By(ley)ways Run 2 September 2018

The day dawned dry and cloudy as 29 intrepid riders, assorted pillions and other hangers-on descended on Byley Village Hall near Middlewich in deepest Cheshire. Phil had planned a gentle amble round the lanes with questions and a lunch stop in true RSR tradition.

It was great to see some new faces as well as the old favourites taking part, and the friendship was evident from the start as Phil asked the first question and they were off at 11:00

We’d increased the  entry fee a tad to include a buffet lunch at the Golden Pheasant in Plumley. This seemed to be generally well accepted!

Separating the Men from the Boys saw Bernie Horrigan win overall, after scoring an impressive 8 points in the questions. Malcolm Ross was the only breakdown (gearbox) although a few missed checkpoints…!
