Throughout the year we also run organised and impromptu runs - details will appear on the calender

The Big Brekkie and Llanuwchllyn Run – 9th April 2017

Some seasonal spring weather encouraged around a dozen Cheshire Cats members to venture out, first to the huge Big Brekkie meeting at The Raven, Preese Heath. The venue was teeming with bikes and would have provided a whole days entertainment if we had time to stay and browse. However we had an engagement in North Wales to meet up with the Cheshire and North Wales section for lunch at the Eagles Inn Llanuwchllyn. We set of together from Preese at around 11’ish. At around 11.10’ish Bernie suffered seized front brakes and had to pull over. After about 30 minutes tinkering the brake cylinders were freed (thanks to sterling work from Neil Walton) but Bernie decided to limp home in the company of Al Green – well it made a change, its usually me that has mechanical's when we are out. Most of the group pressed on to the lunch stop whilst four or five of us lingered with Bernie. This put us behind the main group but we had a route sheet and were able to join back up at the pub for lunch at around 1.30pm after some fabulous riding roads and weather, through some of the gentler Welsh hillsides.

The Berwyns Run – 15th May 2016

Glorious fine weather - a joy to be out. 17 riders eventually set out from Malpas after been joined late by a certain committee member who spent most of the morning chasing up and down the A556 looking for his brake fluid cap. An easy run across to the Llangollen Motor Museum and then on to Carog to see the steam locomotive specially laid on by Bob. Lunch somewhere probably beginning with 2 L's and then back home.

If anyone wants to do a proper write up or if you have photos of the day - email them to me and I’ll put them up.

The Big Breakfast Run 2016 - 10th April 2016

Seven members set of on a chilly frosty morning for The Big Breakfast Run on Sunday 10th March. A spectacular show at the Truck Stop at Prees with all manner of motorcycles old and new. By the time we reached Prees it was a glorious day and, if you ignored the numb fingers, an enjoyable event. From there the run was lead out by Phil Green and took us by a very scenic route to Llanuwchllyn just south of Bala where we met up with members of the Cheshire and North Wales Section for a very satisfying lunch. Thanks to Phil for planning and leading the run out and home.
